Jock Stein reads a long poem on Book 4 of the Psalms, in the shape of a pibroch, with theme and variations reflecting on the loss of The Iolaire, a ship which foundered just outside Stornoway harbour in the small hours of January 1st 1919, with such a tragic impact on the Isle of Lewis. The poem looks at the Calvinist inheritance and how that may be redeemed for the 21st century.

The poems on Book 5 of the Psalms range from the Homecoming poem on Psalm 107 to the Breathless poem on Psalm 150, with all the poems in between featuring such great characters as Nan Shepherd, Dante, Doctor Who and James Clerk Maxwell.
